HOMEMADE IS THE tastiest
In our cafés, we make a large part of the products ourselves – both buns and pies, and lunches are also prepared on site in the most sustainable way possible, respecting the environment. We emphasize gluten-free options in our offerings.
We also focus on high-quality coffees. We offer Italian specialty coffees as well as the familiar light and dark roasts of Meira.

CAFES WERE BORN on sauna benches!
The story of Tähtikahvilat began with a sauna evening for the Turun Uimarit water polo team.
The players of the Turun Uimarit water polo team had long had the habit of gathering in the Impivaara swimming pool café before training. When the café's previous entrepreneur gave up on the café business, the TU players got the idea to buy the café. The idea thrown on the sauna benches became a reality, the deals were made and the café opened in 2017. In a few years, the company has grown from one café to several locations. In May 2024, Tähtikahvilat expanded its operations to Tampere. During the summer, the cafés employ many young people, including Turun Uimarit water polo players.
