Idyllic Café Kisälli in Turku

The cozy and charming Café Kisälli is located in a wooden house built in the 1850s, right next to the Luostarinmäki museum block on Vartiovuorenkatu in Turku. Stop by our café during your visit to the museum or just come by! We are located, for example, halfway between the Samppalinna and Kupittaa outdoor swimming pools. Here you can enjoy freshly brewed coffee and fresh, homemade pastries – and a piece of the unique atmosphere.

Café Kisälli offers its customers fresh, homemade pastries, such as pies, buns, rolls, bread and pastries, as well as freshly brewed coffee. Our selection also includes ice cream and soft drinks.

Café Kisälli serves its customers in a wooden house built in the 1850s, which exudes the atmosphere of the old days. In our café, you can stop for a moment in the middle of history and take a breather, for example, during a museum day or shopping. There are customer seats both indoors and outdoors. On sunny summer days, you can enjoy an ice cream on our sunny summer terrace.

Luostarinmäki Museum Quarter – a window into the history of Turku

The Luostarinmäki museum quarter offers a glimpse into the history of Turku. Luostarinmäki is home to the only continuous wooden house area in Turku that survived the fire of Turku in 1827. The buildings in the area, which are over 200 years old, are located in their original locations, and the alleys, courtyards and homes of the quarter form a unique milieu in the middle of Turku.
