Taiteen talon Makasiinit create a lively summer street on Luostarin Välikatu, designed for long and enjoyable visits.

The area brings together restaurants, a cocktail bar, a wine bar, a café, street food, and DJ music all in one unique city block.

Seven operators each bring their own atmosphere: relaxed dinners, drinks, coffee moments, and evenings that effortlessly stretch into the night. Tähtikahvilat acts as the main operator at Makasiinit.

Wednesday–Saturday 3 PM–11 PM.

You can find us on Finland’s oldest street, Luostarin Välikatu in Turku, next to the Taiteen talo building (Nunnankatu 4, Turku).

Café Elephant is a place where quality coffee and delicious pastries meet. Our selection includes specialty coffees, mouth-watering cakes, home-baked pies and refreshing ice cream. We also offer wines, beers and refreshing non-alcoholic drink options.

Tipsy Toasty offers carefully selected wines, craft beers from microbreweries, and refreshing lemonades, which are perfect for sunny summer days and warm evenings.

The menu includes tasty grilled sandwiches and shareable snacks – options for both light and large appetites.

Tipsy Toasty was born out of a love for good food, drink and togetherness. The most important thing is a relaxed and happy atmosphere that you can see and feel in everything!

La Scuderia is a restaurant based on the Italian lifestyle, where you can enjoy bold flavors, high-quality ingredients and relaxed togetherness. The restaurant concept draws inspiration from the urban atmosphere of Milan and Italian food culture, offering guests an experience where modern Italy meets the urban culture of Turku.

In Milan, l'Aperitivo means a relaxed meeting at the counter of your own corner bar – over a refreshing drink and a small snack before the actual meal. La Scuderia brings this Italian tradition to the Art House, serving Italian cold cuts, cheeses and other snacks in shareable portions on the house's own focaccia bread. The menu also features changing main courses, and the drinks list includes classic Spritzes, refreshing non-alcoholic options and an elegant Ferrari sparkling wine, which completes a true aperitivo moment.

Sommar is a summer restaurant with a relaxed bistro atmosphere, where the best seasonal ingredients and shared dishes are the focus. Located in the historic Makasiini building of the Art House, Sommar combines carefully selected wines, local flavors and a warm atmosphere for lively summer evenings.

Minikapakka is a small and atmospheric summer bar in the heart of Old Turku. Nestled among the cobblestones, you will find carefully prepared drinks, sparkling wines, beers and other refreshing beverages in a relaxed but stylish environment.

The intimate interior and communal terrace of the small tavern invite you to enjoy the atmosphere of a medieval town from afternoon to evening.

Tu Casa brings the colorful flavors of the Caribbean and South America to the Warehouses of Taiteen Talon. At the heart of the kitchen is a chef of Cuban origin, who combines authentic recipes, high-quality ingredients and a relaxed street food atmosphere with a modern world of flavors.

The menu highlights changing theme weeks that take you on a taste journey through the cuisines of Cuba, Peru and the Dominican Republic. A particular pride is Peruvian ceviche – a fresh and highly regarded fish dish that is part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage protected by UNESCO.

The drink menu features Caribbean classics such as Mojito and Cuba Libre, completing the tropical experience.

Tu Casa is a place where bold flavors, a warm atmosphere, and food enjoyed together come together.

PIHA is Veistämö Wine Bar's summer wine terrace in the Warehouses of the Art House, where European small-producer and organic wines meet a relaxed atmosphere and good company.

The carefully curated selection is complemented by high-quality non-alcoholic options, seasonal bar snacks and a small cheese selection.

PIHA is more than a terrace – it's an experience. You can stop to enjoy a glass of wine, rent an easel and create your own art while enjoying a drink, or take part in a relaxed painting workshop with friends or colleagues.
